The 2026 Dr. Ivan Miestchovich Economic Outlook & Real Estate Forecast Seminar for Metropolitan New Orleans will take place on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Senator Ted Hickey Ballroom, University Center, University of New Orleans (UNO).
Hosted by the UNO Institute for Economic Development & Real Estate Research, the annual seminar brings together regional leaders in economic development, housing, and commercial real estate to discuss regional economic trends and real estate market dynamics.
“This seminar gives business and real estate professionals an opportunity to engage with the latest data and with the experts shaping our region’s economic future,” said Dr. Ali Bustamante, Director of the Institute for Economic Development & Real Estate Research and Professor of Practice in the Department of Economics & Finance at UNO. “Understanding how housing and commercial property markets are evolving is essential for decision-makers across the region.”
The event typically attracts more than 250 professionals from across the New Orleans metro area, including realtors, brokers, appraisers, developers, lenders, and construction leaders.
As the University of New Orleans prepares to transition into the Louisiana State University system as LSU New Orleans in July 2026, the Institute continues its 47-year mission of providing independent, data-driven analysis of the region’s economy and real estate markets.
Registration & networking begins at 8:00 AM. For more information about the seminar or to register, .
